Nature's version of the green flash?

It is generally seen over the ocean but can also be seen over any flat unobstructed surface, ie; the desert.  The "green flash" is a phenomenon that rarely occurs in nature when the sun sets.  At the exact moment that the last piece of visible sun drops below the horizon, a green flash (more like a green puff) can occur.  The ocean needs to be quite flat, the air very dry and absolutely no clouds, haze or fog  can be on the horizon ...It is very momentary, literally if you blink you could miss it.  It is more common over the Pacific Ocean but can be seen on the East Coast, particularly the Florida Gulf Coast. Californians can go a lifetime without ever seeing one. When you do, it is quite special & very memorable.
